Assembly Tutorial: Square Gong Stand with
Wheels

Introduction
This tutorial provides a clear, step-by-step written guide for assembling the Square Gong Stand with
Wheels. The official assembly video from the manufacturer is short (under 4 minutes) and highly visual.
We strongly recommend watching the video alongside these instructions for the most accurate results, as the exact hardware configuration may vary slightly by model size.
The stand is made of painted steel, available in various sizes to fit gongs from approximately 14" to 47". It
features a square/geometric frame design with integrated locking caster wheels for easy mobility.
Safety & Preparation
-
Work on a flat surface (protect floors with a blanket/mat).
-
Organize all small hardware so nothing gets lost.
-
Lock the wheels once the base is assembled.
-
Don’t overtighten bolts/knobs.
Typical Parts
-
Base frame / feet
-
4 locking caster wheels
-
Vertical uprights
-
Top hanging bar
-
Stabilization/cross bars
-
Hanging hooks or cords
-
Hardware kit (knobs, bolts, nuts, washers)
Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions
Follow these general steps. Pause the official video at each stage for visual confirmation.
1. Unpack and Inventory
Open the carton carefully. Lay out all parts on a clean floor or large table. Identify the base pieces, uprights, top
bar, wheels, and hardware bag. Compare against the video thumbnail and early frames which show parts being
handled.
2. Attach the Wheels / Casters
Start with the base. Insert the caster stems or screws into the designated holes on the bottom of the base feet or T-bars. Secure with the provided nuts from the opposite side. Tighten snugly with a wrench if included. Ensure wheels can swivel and that brakes function. Repeat for all four corners. Lock the brakes once attached so the base stays put.
3. Assemble the Base Frame
Connect the bottom horizontal stabilization bars to the side base pieces using the long knobs or bolts. Align the pre-drilled holes carefully. Hand-tighten only at this stage — final tightening comes later once the full frame is square.
4. Attach Vertical Uprights
Position the side upright bars onto the base. Align the connection points. Secure with the appropriate knobs or bolts. Make sure the uprights are oriented correctly (any hooks or adjustment holes facing the intended direction).
5. Install the Top Hanging Bar
Place the top hanging bar across the uprights. Align the ends with the mounting holes on the uprights. Attach using knobs or bolts. This creates the square frame structure. At this point the stand should be free-standing (with wheels locked)
6. Add Cross Supports (if present)
If your model includes additional middle or upper crossbars for extra stability, install them now following the same hole-alignment method
7. Final Tightening & Squaring
With the stand upright and on a level surface, check that all four wheels contact the ground evenly. Gently rock the stand to settle it. Then systematically tighten all knobs and bolts. The frame should be rigid and square. Do not overtighten.
8. Install Hanging Hardware
Attach the gong suspension hooks, chains, or cords to the top hanging bar. Position them according to your gong size so the gong hangs centered and can swing freely without hitting the frame. Use protective sleeves or pads if provided to avoid scratching the gong.
